THE WHO & WHYS
Interactive Workplace Training
Impact Workplace Training is led by co-founders Gayle Wasserman and Tracey Levy, experienced employment lawyers, employee relations professionals, and workplace trainers.
We have conducted hundreds of training sessions for organizations across the country and around the world, in both group and 1:1 settings, live and virtually. Our training expertise builds on more than 25 years of legal and employee relations experience, including time in law firms, in-house roles, and HR consulting.
Because we have advised employers, conducted workplace investigations, coached managers, and worked directly with employees, we understand the real situations that arise inside organizations. We bring that experience into every training, using practical examples and thoughtful discussion to help participants understand not only what the rules are, but why they matter.
Trusted Experts
For years, we have worked as co-trainers at Cornell University ILR School in Manhattan, which provides individual courses and certificate programs for HR professionals and managers. At Cornell, we are educators for programs related to equal employment opportunity, harassment prevention, employee relations, employment law compliance, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
Through this work, and through our work with clients, we continue to evaluate and develop best practices for workplace training. We are constantly updating the design and delivery of our programs to make sure the content is practical, relevant, engaging, and impactful.
Drive Thought, Conversation, and Culture Change
Impact’s training programs are designed to do more than satisfy a requirement. Our customized, interactive programs help organizations reduce risk, protect their reputation, improve the employee experience, strengthen workplace culture, and create clearer expectations between managers and employees.
We work with a wide range of organizations and industries, and tailor each program to meet the culture, needs, and objectives of each client.
Why Training Matters
Historically, organizations sought workplace training to satisfy legal or compliance requirements, respond to a workplace incident that garnered negative internal or external attention, support HR or senior leadership’s belief that it was the “right thing to do,” or prevent future employee relations issues. While those reasons remain important, more organizations now recognize that effective training is not just about avoiding problems. It is also about building stronger workplaces.
Disrespectful workplaces damage morale, productivity, retention and the organization’s bottom line.
Well-trained managers and HR professionals create more efficient and effective workplaces, stronger teams, and better work product.
Live, practical training helps organizations reduce the risk of lawsuits, reputational harm, and the internal disruption that often follows unresolved workplace issues - impacting recruitment, retention, and relationships with customers, clients, and investors.

Tracey Levy
Gayle Wasserman
Tracey and Gayle first met as associates in New York City at one of the country’s premier employment law firms, where they learned firsthand how employee relations issues can affect organizations, managers, employees, and workplace culture. Early in their careers, they both made a commitment to help organizations make workplace decisions based not only on what the law requires, but also on the kind of culture they want to build.
In the years since, Tracey and Gayle have each built successful careers at the intersection of law and the workplace, as employment lawyers, employee relations professionals, workplace investigators, trainers, and advisors. Their combined experience gives them a practical understanding of the workplace challenges organizations face every day.
Although Gayle and Tracey maintain separate law practices, they came together to create Impact Workplace Training - a training organization that reflects the best of both of them. They created Impact because they believed training could be better - more engaging, more relevant, and more likely to actually change how people think and act at work. Their interactive programs are designed to spark conversation, shift perspectives, and give participants real ‘aha’ moments that help them navigate workplace situations with greater clarity and confidence.
